Douglas Boudreau
Associate Professor, French
Dr. Boudreau is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology and World Languages. 聽He teaches all levels of French language as well as courses on the literatures and cultures of the French-speaking world. His research interests focus on the contemporary literatures of Quebec and Francophone Africa, the literature of 16th-century France, and ecocriticism. 聽He has co-edited a collection of eco-critical essays, published a book chapter and various articles and encyclopedia entries, delivered numerous conference papers and invited talks, and has authored a number of book reviews.

- Students have done research in sociolinguistics and on various subjects related to French/Francophone literature and film. We strongly encourage our students to study abroad in semester, summer, and faulty-led experiences.
- Graduates have gone on to participate in the Peace Corps, work as teaching assistants in the French high schools through the assistant d鈥檃nglais program run by the French government, and have pursued graduate degrees in the U.S. and abroad.
